Mail Strategy & Testing

The strongest direct response idea is the one your customer notices, understands, and acts on.

I help you decide what to say, how to deliver it, and what to test—without losing sight of the economics that make growth worth pursuing.

Mail Strategy Is Not About Defending a Channel

Direct mail remains one of the clearest environments for observing response, but I do not assume that mail is always the answer.

I begin with the customer and the decision. Who needs to act? What must they understand or believe? What is competing for their attention? What combination of message, offer, format, timing, and follow-up gives the business a credible chance to succeed?

After thousands of tests across direct mail, print, digital, and direct-response television, I have learned that performance rarely turns on one isolated creative detail. It comes from the way the offer, audience, message, channel, follow-up, and economics work together.

That is the system I help you evaluate before another version is produced or another budget is approved.

My Approach

FROM THE FIELD

When the channel everyone overlooked became the most direct route to the decision-maker

A healthcare organization needed to reach senior executives in a market crowded with digital messages. The assumption was that another digital campaign would be faster, easier, and more cost-effective.

Strategic Advisory Capabilities

  • Direct response growth diagnostics and performance reviews

  • Offer, message, format, and creative-response strategy

  • Acquisition and testing framework development

  • Audience, database, CRM, and targeting evaluation

  • Cost Per Sale, Cost Per Lead, conversion, and capital-allocation decision support

  • Independent guidance across internal, agency, media, production, and analytical teams

INDEPENDENCE STATEMENT

I am not compensated for recommending more media, production, software, or implementation.

My responsibility is to help you decide what the evidence supports.
